Katelyn Sinclair

Katelyn took on the role of Licensee & Director of Metro Settlements in 2016.

With a background in corporate accounting, coupled with her Bachelor of Business and Diploma of Conveyancing, she is well equipped to handle all elements of the day-to-day running of Metro Settlements, whilst also maintaining a full portfolio of clients.

Katelyn commenced her career in the WA property settlement industry in 2007, working for a large Perth law firm.  Since then, she has worked for two of Perth’s largest settlement agencies as well as taking on her first licensee position at a boutique settlement agency in Perth’s eastern suburbs.

I strive to encourage teamwork, open communication and integrity within my office.

These are values which underpin everything that I do – not only at Metro Settlements, but also in my dealings with the wider conveyancing community and within my personal life.

I’m so proud of the team here at Metro Settlements – all the staff place such a high value on delivering exceptional service.  It’s what sets us apart and positions us as one of Perth’s premier conveyancing firms.”

In her spare time, Katelyn enjoys going out with friends and experiencing all the new bars and restaurants that are constantly popping up in Perth.  She and her husband also like to go camping and fishing as often as possible, particularly in the Margaret River region in WA’s south west.

Lianna Paparoni

Licensed Settlement Agent

Lianna commenced her career in the WA settlement industry in 1988. She completed her studies at Perth Tafe and in 1998 became a Licensed Settlement Agent.

Lianna has spent the majority of her career working for the same two highly regarded settlement agencies.

Over this time, she has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience as a Senior Conveyancer. During the course of her career, she has also held various positions at Perth law firms in their conveyancing departments, which has allowed her to develop a comprehensive knowledge of the mortgage and lending aspects of settlements.

I have strong organisational skills, and take pride in looking after my clients to ensure their settlement runs smoothly and on time.

Everything I do in my life involves organising – whether it’s in my current work role, organising my son or renovating my home.”

When she’s not at work, Lianna enjoys playing tennis, catching up with friends and family, and weekends away exploring WA.

Mary Slavin

Having worked in the property settlement industry since 1988, Mary joined Metro Settlements as a Conveyancing Assistant since May 2015.  She has had experience in both conveyancing and lending.

Mary started out working in a settlement agency that was part of a building society and has since expanded her knowledge through working at several prominent Perth agencies.

I enjoy the process of settlements as each and every one is different.

Solving problems in order to make the transaction as easy as possible for our clients is a daily occurrence. The procedures have changed over the years and I enjoy that there are always new things to learn.

I’m looking forward to the new opportunities created by electronic conveyancing and believe that it will benefit clients with a quick and easy settlement transaction.”

When she’s not at work, Mary enjoys spending time with her family, reading, going to the movies and eating out.  She has a love of travelling and is looking forward to her European adventure coming in 2019!

Bernadette Mahady

Conveyancing Assistant

Bernadette started as an Outside Clerk in 2012 and began working at Metro Settlements in July 2015.  Her current role involves assisting our Licensee with settlement files, including electronic settlements on PEXA.

Bernadette hopes to further her knowledge and works towards becoming a Settlement Agent in her own right in the near future.  Bernadette enjoys the settlement industry as she loves to interact with all the other settlement clerks.  Plus, over the years she has made some close friends for life.

In her spare time, Bernadette spends a lot of time at the gym and enjoys walking her dogs, going to the beach, four-wheel driving with friends and going riding with her horse, Smokey, on weekends.

Bernadette also has plans to travel and see more of the world.

Teddy, Chief Happiness Officer

A photo of Teddy, Katelyn's Pomeranian cross Cairn Terrier, who is affectionately known as Chief Happiness Officer.

Teddy is a Pomeranian x Cairn Terrier and is Metro Settlements’ resident pooch.  Always too happy for a pat and a cuddle, Teddy is a pint-sized stress-buster.  When he’s not sleeping, he enjoys chasing his toys and seeing what everyone in the office brought for lunch that day.

When he retires, he hopes to have saved enough money to enjoy a never-ending supply of roast chicken and squeaky toys.
